Almitza’s calendar of this year comes full of events again. After a rest in winter, the mowers are willing to undertake the new season.

This weekend, 24th-25th may, Almitza will be participating in a mowing competition (for gorups) in Bavaria (Germany). A men-women group of four will be representing the Basque Country in the competition celebrating in Thundorf. The group will be formed by: Miel mari Jauregi “Altzo”, Bixente Mitxelena, Irati Astondoa and Garikotz Lobregat.

During June and July, we’ll have the VI. Basque Country’s Individual Mowing-League. As in the earlier editions, this year too there will be 3 events.

• 1st of June in Beramendi (Nafarroa)
• 8th of July in Zaldibia (Gipuzkoa)
• 27th of July in Azpeitia (Gipuzkoa)

The registration dates will be publicated here and in the usual media.

Appart from that, in 8th June, members from Almitza will be participating in the annual festival of Mowing in Els Hostalets d’en Bas (Catalonia).

And finally, in 28th of Septmeber, the 3rd Basque Country’s Scythe-Sharpening competition will be hold in Azpeitia (Gipuzkoa).
